What’s in it
- NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)
- Sodium chloride 0.9%
Every drip is prescribed for you individually and made up just before it is given.
What to expect
-
Book online
Choose your drip and where you would like it. The full price is shown upfront. -
Health check
Answer a short questionnaire. A prescriber reviews it before your booking is confirmed. -
Checks first
Your nurse takes your pulse, blood pressure and temperature. -
The drip
A small cannula goes into your arm and the drip runs for 4 hours. -
Checks after
Your nurse repeats your observations, removes the cannula and you are on your way.
NAD+ has to run slowly. Running it too fast can cause flushing, nausea, cramps or chest tightness, so your nurse adjusts the rate to keep you comfortable. Bring a book, or work quietly.
Who it isn’t for
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Heart conditions (please speak to us first)
- Anyone unable to sit for 4 hours
Good to know: because it takes 4 hours, NAD+ 500 is given at our Nine Elms clinic only.
How often: as agreed with your prescriber.
Why people book it
- Prefer one longer session to two shorter ones
- Happy to spend a quiet afternoon in the clinic
These are reasons clients give us, not promises of results.
What the evidence says
Early researchResearch on NAD+ is at an early stage, mostly small studies and case reports. There is no high-quality evidence yet that NAD+ improves health in people who are already well.
If you are not sure a drip is right for you, ask us. We may suggest a blood test or your GP instead.
